ENTERPRISING CHEW VALLEY

Employers and Educators are joining forces to produce a summer showcase of all the Chew Valley has to offer. More than forty organisations will be involved in the event being staged this Saturday (July 10th) at Chew Valley School.

The spotlight will be turned on the surprising range of businesses operating in the area and people will have a chance to appreciate the recently modernised sports facilities at Chew Valley School as well as the benefits coming from its specialist status in the performing arts. Meanwhile the Design and Technology block will be open to demonstrate an alternative style of creativity

It’s the first time that the Chew Valley Chamber of Commerce and Chew Valley School have got together in this way, but both partners are confident they’ll stage a day out with something for all the family.

The school has already made a creative contribution by running a competition among Year 10 pupils to produce ideas for a Chew Valley Enterprise logo. Eleanor Harrison-Wolff beat off stiff competition from Charlotte Pimm, Dan Gallop, Ryan Summers and Toby Rush. Her attractive creation was given a professional treatment by Peter Greenlees of DNA Design and the finished result has been widely used on publicity posters.
