Chew Valley Films was set up by Peter Brownlee during lockdown as a community YouTube channel celebrating the Chew valley and the people who live and work here. We now feature over 90 films covering many topics including local history, village events and portraits of local people.

In 2022, along with The Mendip Times, we organised the first Young Film Maker’s Competition for all U16s in the Mendip Times area, which is now set to be an annual event.

We were grateful that the Chamber of Commerce sponsored the Best Film category.

Peter has had a long career as an editor working on top TV shows such as Frozen Planet2 and Inside The Factory but he is now happy to produce short films for local businesses.
