Brad rolls to skittling triumph

A new member scooped the prize in Chew Valley Chamber of Commerce’s skittling competition after their annual BBQ at the Queen’s Arms in Chew Magna.

Brad Saunders from CARS of Winford marked his first Chamber meeting by beating all comers in the game which followed following the quarterly meeting and BBQ.

President, Sandy Bell, who was unable to compete due to a broken arm, said it had been a very enjoyable event: “The Queens put on a tasty BBQ and Brad did well to come out on top against some stiff competition.”

Earlier in the meeting, members had compared experience of business following the vote to leave the European Union. The consensus was that things had settled down since the referendum vote and the local economy had continued to flourish. There were some concerns about what the future may hold, but there was an overwhelming positive sense that members were determined to make the most of the opportunities that will come along.
